A Boeing 727 panel, part of Alexandre de Betak's forthcoming interiors auction

Take a look at Betak's brilliantly bizarre interiors auction

The fashion show producer is auctioning off art and rare design objects alongside jet panels and Japanese robots!

Alexandre de Betak's professional life as the world's greatest fashion show producer has led him to excel in a number of different fields. He obviously has a sound sense of fashion and style – given a client list that includes Dior, Celine, Hermes and Hussein Chalayan. He also has a strong feel for drama – as anyone who attended his recent pop-corn strewn, horror-movie inspired Calvin Klein show at New York fashion week will know.

However, Betak is also a master of interior design. His shows always feature exquisitely concieved sets; his New York apartment was featured recently in Architectural Digest; and now he is staging his own interior design auction.

There are pieces by the Memphis founder Ettore Sottass, the artist and designer Franz West, the Italian designer Livio Castiglioni, and American artist and engineer Frank Malina, as well as more frivilous lots, such as a lovely looking Boeing 272 panel; a collection of Japanese robots; and even a kinetic, neon sculpture of the Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen which Betak commissioned himself.
